As we approach the Feast of St Philip Neri, the founder of the Oratory, we would like to ask you to join us in a Novena to St Philip. We will be praying the Novena at all Masses in the lead up to his Feast, and encourage you to join us in your homes by praying along with us.

We are praying the Novena from Wednesday 16 May.

We hope you can join us on May 26 at 7:00pm for Solemn High Mass for the Feast of St Philip Neri, which will be for the intention of the establishment of the Brisbane Oratory, followed by a celebratory supper in the Parish Hall at Mary Immaculate for our three years as an Oratory in Formation.

On that day, the usual Low Mass at 8:15am is cancelled, but there will still be Exposition and Confessions from the usual time of 7:15am. There is also still the usual 5:30pm Ordinary Form Vigil Mass for the Sunday.

Novena Prayer to St Philip Neri

O holy St Philip, patron saint of joy, you who trusted Scripture’s promise that the Lord is always at hand and that we need not have anxiety about anything, in your compassion heal our worries and sorrows and lift the burdens from our hearts. We come to you as one whose heart swells with abundant love for God and all creation. Hear us, we pray, especially in this need (make your request here). Keep us safe through your loving intercession, and may the joy of the Holy Spirit which filled your heart transform our lives and bring us peace. Amen.
