When Fr Andrew returned from attending the Sacra Liturgia Conference this week, he brought back with him a wonderful gift that was given to the Brisbane Oratory-in-Formation from the Cardiff Oratory-in-Formation, two first class relics. One being that of St Philip Neri and the other Bl John Henry Newman.

St Philip Neri was the founder of the Oratory, and Bl John Henry Newman, who brought the Oratory to England, and really the rest of the English-speaking world, is one of our patrons. It is hoped that through the veneration of these relics and the intercession of St Philip Neri and Bl John Henry Newman, that many graces and benefits from Our Lord will be granted to the Brisbane Oratory.

The Brisbane Oratory extends our thanks and fraternal charity to the Cardiff Oratory Community and Moderator Fr. Sebastian Jones for this wonderful gift, establishing a special bond between us. We are grateful for their prayers and support, and we will be keeping them in our prayers as we both continue through this period of formation before becoming fully established.

We hope to make available soon the opportunity for veneration of these relics for all our friends and supporters.
