On Christmas Eve, Most Rev Mark Coleridge, Archbishop of Brisbane, signed the decree establishing the Brisbane Oratory in Formation.
The decree comes into effect on May 26th 2015, the feast of St Philip Neri. On that day the Brisbane Oratory in Formation will officially begin with establishment of the community life at Annerley. Then follows at least three years during which the community enters into a time of formation in and establishment of the Oratorian way of life.
We are immensely grateful to His Grace, the Archbishop, for his continual and generous support of our project. He has always been our best supporter and trusted advisor. At the same time, we are deeply grateful to God for His graciousness and blessings. Equally, we rejoice in the protection and intercession of our heavenly patrons: Our Lady, St Philip, Bl John Henry and Bl Pier Giorgio.
