Catholic Enquiry Group

The Catholic Enquiry Group is for non-Catholics who would like to become Catholic or for those who are not yet sure but would like to learn more about the Catholic faith. This is also for those looking for RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. So whether you’re not sure about becoming Catholic but want to explore more, or if you already have the desire to become Catholic, this group is for you.

Catholics who wish to reconnect with their faith after some time away from the Church, or who would like some basic instruction, are also welcome. This group is also suitable for adult Catholics who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation but want to.

At Catholic Enquiry Group Br Tyson and our other leaders present a series of talks and points for discussion as we systematically give an account of and explore the faith. For those who decide they wish to enter the church we meet to discuss this individually.

Topics we explore can grouped under the following headings:

1. The faith expressed in the Creed

2. The faith celebrated in the Liturgy and Sacraments

3. The faith lived in conformity to Christ

4. The faith lived in relationship with God through prayer

Catholic Enquiry Group meets on Tuesday Evenings at 7:30pm in the meeting room under Mary Immaculate Church. Catholic Enquiry Group is currently on recess but will start again in July. If you would like to join us please call Br Tyson at Oratory House or email at brisbaneoratory@gmail.com.
